Get your chocolate fix with this delicious chocolate smoothie. It only takes 2 minutes to whiz together and tastes just like an indulgent chocolate milkshake. We’ve used frozen bananas and cashews for their creamy texture, and a medjool date to help sweeten the smoothie. Cacao powder is full of antioxidants which help fight free radicals that cause damage to healthy cells, and is an excellent source of fibre (digestion), iron (oxygen carrying red blood cells) and magnesium (bone health). You can now buy cacao powder from some supermarkets or most health food stores.
1. Add all of the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend on high until smooth or for 30 seconds.
2. If you think the smoothie is too thick you can add a little more plant milk.
3. Pour into a glass and enjoy, or store in the fridge for 1-2 days.

1 heaped tbsp. cacao powder
1 medjool date, pit removed
150 ml unsweetened almond, hazelnut or cashew milk
