NUTRITIONAL NUGGET – C is for Clementines… ?

Two clementines count as one of your five a day. They’re fat-free, cholesterol-free and naturally low in sodium. You get a healthy dose of vitamin C from a portion, as well as some fibre and vitamin A. Most of the calories come from sugar, but this is natural sugar that is intact within the fruit, not added or free sugars.

3 ways to enjoy:

1. Freeze segments and use them as ice cubes

2. Mix clementine chunks into your favourite salad – they’re brightly coloured and add sweetness and texture

3. Make an instant healthier cheesecake: spread low fat soft cheese on an oatcake and top with clementine slices
